Alternatives Federal Credit Union has selected Friendship Donations Network, Inc. to be the Roundoff recipient for December 2010 and January 2011. Every month, AFCU members have the option of voluntarily rounding down their deposits to a whole dollar amount and donating that money to a non-profit organization selected by the credit union. In this way, small contributions by numerous individuals create significant results. FDN is grateful to AFCU for this wonderful opportunity.
Come visit Friendship Donations at the Ithaca Alternative Gift Fair this Saturday from 10-6! The Alternative Gift Fair is a fun way to bypass the annual stress of holiday shopping and “stuff” accumulation while honoring friends and relatives with donations to causes that fit their values.
Sara Pines was honored this past Sunday for her 22 years of service as founder and director of FDN. A large and diverse crowd filled the Eagle’s hall to pay tribute to this wonderful woman and celebrate her retirement from FDN.
Sara passes the symbolic basket of food on to Lisa Duggan, the Program Coordinator for FDN in charge of day-to-day operations.
