GreenStar Community Projects invites you to join the third annual Food Justice Summit – Saturday, September 21st – a community-wide event designed to promote awareness of and encourage a sustainable and equitable local food system right here in our own backyard. Join us in FEEDING OUR FUTURE.
  1. Raise funds to support the effort through our “Farm-A-Thon” fundraiser
  2. Join our Street Fair as a volunteer, a tabler, a food vendor, educator, or co-sponsor
  3. Join us at Southside Community Center on Sat., Sept. 21 from 12 – 5 p.m.
Come celebrate the achievements our community has made, while uniting our voices to raise awareness and foster conversations leading to positive change. The afternoon Street Fair features a tantalizing spread of food offered by local cooks, a great lineup of local musicians, and a super keynote speaker.
Try on your farmer hat in this year’s “Farm-A-Thon”
“Working for a Better Food Future” is a fun(d)raising event that will kick off the day, where community members will champion this cause by participating in the farm-a-thon challenge. Farmer Champions will aim to raise their own fundraising goal by volunteering as a farmer for several hours in the morning, and sharing their experience with family and friends who have pledged donations. Want to take on the challenge of being a farmer? Sign up as a “Champion” Farmer here: wwwfoodjusticeworkathon2013.peaksoverpoverty.org
