Volunteers Needed for Neighborhood Food Hubs!
Greetings, Ithaca community members!
Friendship Donations Network is looking for 10 Hub Helpers in order to launch the pilot year of the Neighborhood Food Hubs.
What is a Hub Helper?
A Hub Helper will pick up donated homegrown produce from a Neighborhood Food Hub and deliver it to the FDN cooler. There will be 4 Hubs located near downtown Ithaca. Each Hub Helper will be assigned to a Hub. The time commitment will be one evening each week — maybe as little as 30 minutes if you live nearby! Since this is a busy travel time for some people, Hub Helpers will work in teams on a rotating schedule. The project will run from July 15 – Oct. 1.
